Health and Holy Spirit update
October 7, 2010 When Sandy and I were in Atlanta the Lord told me clearly, "It's all about souls". All I can think about is the freedom that Jesus Christ purchased for us with His own blood and He wants everyone to have it. He wants each person to hear His still, small voice and to obey it. He wants every Christian to know His power and to walk in the authority that He has given them. In our church I want to see all (who want to) demonstrate the power of God, and to encourage every Christian to do the same no matter who or where they are.
There are times when God stirs men's souls. This is one of those times. Over the past few months, little prayer groups have been forming in our church, not at my direction, but by the Holy Spirit. Their prayers have been similar and now we are seeing the manifestation of those prayers. Sunday mornings and Wednesday night's are focusing specifically on two things: The Wonder of God and His Freedom. We're seeing this by the power of His Word, and through "hands on" prayer, believing God for the results.
These aren't "my" desires; they're His desires, and they're in our hearts by the Holy Spirit. At the very least we want to see souls saved (which is an amazing miracle in itself). Even so, we want everyone who wants healing to have it, and everyone who wants deliverance to be set free. We want everyone to pray for the sick and cast out demons with confidence in the God who heals and delivers. We want to see the Gospel preached, blind eyes and deaf ears opened, and the dead raised. We want the whole enchilada, and He's willing for us to have it.
I'll end this note with this... Do you believe that God wants to literally touch others, in a tangible way, through you? Do you want God's power to flow into them when you hold their hand or touch their shoulder? Do you want them to marvel when the God of the universe fills them with His Spirit? This is exactly what God wants for you and them. You just need to know it's possible and have someone point you in the right direction, that's all.
If you're in the area please feel free to drop by. Note: if you're looking for the Christian three-ring circus, you won't find it here. We just have one "ring", and God's in the center of it, peaceable and powerful.
